review I don't want to give anything away, but I liked the beginning of the book. Once the court scene started I found it going too slow and I didn't care for that part of the book. The prison section of the book was also too slow and gruesome for my liking. I would say the last 150 pages got good. There was lots of action and I found myself reading more quickly to see what would happen next. All along I was trying to solve the crime in this part of the book as well. I wasn't too surprised by the endin...more

I never read any books by this author. She was recommended to me by a friend. A good recommendation to me for sure. It was a quick read touching, sweet, and a loving story with a surprise twist at the end! It takes place in the 50's in a small town where just about everyone knows everyone's business. Your reputation was very important then. It really made me wonder what my parent's lives were like before they met one another and married. It was just something we didn't question while growing up....more

review This was my 7th book to read from Coben's Myron Bolitar series. I haven't read them in order at all but I found it to be ok. While reading this book the characters came back to me. I just don't remember all the other scenarios in his other books since I didn't read them continuously. I jump to other authors in between.

Speaking about the characters. They are great. Myron is very comical/sarcastic and his comments make you chuckle throughout the book. You never know when they will show up. His bud...more

review I liked this third and final book in the Grace Valley Trilogy. It is a continuation into the lives of the previous characters in book 1 and book 2. Therefore the books should be read in order. By the time I got done with this book I felt like I had known the characters for a long time. I was able to picture them all in my head. It was so nice to see how they interacted with each other in a small town. I did not grow up in a small town where you know everyone so I was asking myself in the end if...more

review This was my first Robyn Carr book so I am glad I started reading the first book in the Grace Valley Trilogy. I found the book charming. I loved the comradery of all the inhabitants of the valley. It showed the closeness of small town folk. Some of the characters were more likeable than others. I did have issues with remembering who was who since there were so many characters. I found myself writing a list of who they were as they got introduced into the story. It definitely came in handy since I...more

review I liked this 2nd book of the Grace Valley Trilogy. The book delves more into the lives of the inhabitants of Grace Valley. There were some challenges for most of the characters, but all in all everything worked out for the best with most of them. There were some new characters introduced into the story that weren't in the first book. I am glad I kept my list of characters and a little bit about them for this book. I still found myself referring back to the list to remember who was who. On to the third book in the trilogy
