I thought the book was good but a little too long in parts. The Prologue pulled me right in. I knew there was a tragedy that came to the main character. I wanted to keep reading to find out what it was and how it happened. It took to the middle of the book to find out the mystery of the tragedy. It was definitely very tragic and heartbreaking. After that is when the book started to slow down for me. However, I do like how the main character picked up the pieces of her life and finally began to live again. Good for her. I also like how the book sends the message of how important families are and how they work together to help one another. Another theme displayed in the book is how important friendship is in people's lives. This was my first book written by Barbara Taylor Bradford and i will be reading her others as well.
