This is my first Nora Roberts book so I don't have anything to compare it to as far as her other books go. I found the main plot to be boring. I feel she overdid the description of how the Inn was built and the decisions of how to decorate it. I would have liked to have seen less of the details for it. However I liked the relationship of Beckett and Clare and how it blossomed. I was happy to see that Clare found someone to love again after losing her husband. I also like how Beckett showed how much he cared for her even though she had three boys and how he took on the father role for them. I did not like Sam at all and I feel he got what he deserved at the end. I know the ghost was somewhat important in the plot especially at the end, but I didn't particularly care for the parts of the story that involved the ghost. I have a feeling the next book in the trilogy will be much better and won't focus so much of the creation of the Inn and more on the characters' relationships with one another. Hope I am right.

I am giving Gone Girl 3 stars. The first half of the book was going way to slow for me. All it talked about was an investigation into one of the character's disappearance. I think that part could have been shortened somewhat.I kept reading it though because I waited 3 months to get the book from the library and wanted to know why everyone seemed to like it.

But then the second part, had a wicked twist that changed everything. The story became better , dangerous and deranged. It started to hold my attention more. The main characters started to reveal sides to them that were quite shocking, not pretty and I found myself feeling sorry for one of them and hating the other. That feeling reversed itself as I read on. Actually it kept changing back and forth between the two main characters.

Even though I like mystery and suspense books this one just didn't do it for me as others in the past.

I really enjoyed this book even though some parts moved slowly. There were other parts that really stirred up the emotions in me. Then there were other parts full of action. The book had a little bit of everything. This is the second book in the Virgin River series. I learned more about the characters from the first book and was introduced to new ones as well. I loved how they all helped one another in needed times and shared in good times. Looking forward to reading the 3rd book of the series.

This is Harlan Coben's first Young Adult book, but I know adults will like it as well. The book drew me in pretty quickly and kept me going until the end which was a surprise. It was also a quick read. Harlan Coben lives in NJ and I am always fascinated with his book settings and his references to places I know. In this particular book he mentions a high school which I would have gone to if my family hadn't moved. I am a fan of Harlan Coben and I always like his books.

I loved this book. There are 20 different books in this series by Robyn Carr and I am sure I will eventually get through all of them.
